Monar Jonban

Monar Jonban, located seven kilometers west of Isfahan, is a tomb with two minarets built on the grave of "Uncle Abdullah," a famous character from the 8th century A.H. The tombstone in this building dates back to 716 AH, almost the end of the reign of Uljayto, a Muslim Ilkhanid.

The Monar Jonban portico has a Mongolian style, and tilework from that period was used in it. However, the minarets seem to have been added to the building later, possibly near the end of the Safavid era.

The reason for naming this structure Monar Jonban (Shaking Minarets) and its most intriguing aspect is when one shakes one of the minarets, not only the other minaret but also the entire structure shakes.
