Isfahan province has 949 knowledge-based companies that received knowledge-based approval from the Vice President of Science and Technology, which are in three levels: 104 level A, 274 level B, and 571 level C companies.

The number of knowledge-based companies in Isfahan province based on the field of technology:

The Association of Knowledge-Based Companies of Isfahan Province, as an organization of economic activists in the field of technology, was established and registered in the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture of Iran based on the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Companies that can become members of the association:

Technology companies: companies located in parks, growth centers and support institutions in Isfahan province.

Knowledge-based companies: companies that have been approved by the evaluation system of the Presidential Office of Science and Technology.

Service companies: which provide services to the above companies; With the approval of the evaluation committee of the association.

The main axes of activity:

Efforts to empower the management skills of member companies

Strengthening synergy and communication between members and relevant markets

Pursuing the improvement of the implementation of laws and regulations supporting member companies

Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) is the most important center for the establishment of these knowledge-based companies, which goal is to become a key development organization of Isfahan Region by attracting human resources and creating a knowledge-based society through establishing a special technology zone within the coming years.
