The city of Isfahan and Kuwait City (the capital of Kuwait) have officially signed a sister-city agreement.

According to reports, this agreement was concluded on June 20, 2000 (corresponding to 30 Khordad 1379 in the Iranian calendar).

Kuwait’s artistic culture has long been influenced by Islamic art, Gulf trade, and its relations with Iran, Iraq, and the wider region.

In Kuwait, museums such as Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah preserve collections of glasswork, metalwork, and Islamic decorative arts.

In the field of souvenirs and ceremonial gifts, engraved crystal, glass plaques, and crystal items featuring emblems, flags, or urban symbols are widely produced. For example, 3D engraved crystal items depicting Kuwait’s national symbols and flag are commonly seen.

In Kuwait, as international relations and urban diplomacy have expanded, luxurious ceremonial gifts—such as glass or crystal plaques engraved with city or state logos—have become more common. These refined gifts represent mutual respect and symbolize the modern urban style, prosperity, and civic identity of the Gulf region. In other words, when a city like Kuwait forms a sister-city relationship with Isfahan, a crystal gift featuring Kuwait’s flag and urban symbols can be a meaningful choice: a combination of state symbolism (State of Kuwait / the flag), decorative art (engraved crystal), and a cultural message of cooperation.

شهر اصفهان و شهر کویت‌‑سیتی (پایتخت کویت) رسماً پیمان خواهرخواندگی امضا کرده‌اند.

طبق گزارشات، این قرارداد در روز ٣٠ خرداد ۱۳۷۹ (مطابق با سال 2000 میلادی) منعقد شده است.

فرهنگ هنری کویت از دیرباز تحت تأثیر هنر اسلامی، تجارت خلیج فارس، و روابط با ایران، عراق و منطقه بوده است.

در کویت موزه‌هایی همچون Dar al Athar al Islamiyyah فعالیت دارند که آثار شیشه، فلز، هنر تزئینی اسلامی را نگهداری می‌کنند.

هم‌چنین در حوزه صنایع یادبود (souvenirs) و هدایای تشریفاتی، کریستال حک‌شده، لوح‌های شیشه‌ای و کریستال با نشان‌ها، پرچم‌ها یا نمادهای شهری، از محصولات رایج هستند. مثلاً تولید «۳D Engraved Crystal» برای نماد کشور کویت و پرچم آن دیده شده است.
