Khiva is a city with a very rich historical fabric, featuring the inner complex of Itchan Kala, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

In this region, decorative arts such as turquoise tilework, brickwork, domes, minarets, muqarnas, woodcarving, inlay work, and metalwork have been common.

Glassmaking has also existed in Central Asia—such as colored glass, mirrorwork, and decorative glass—but a “large clear crystal” like your gift may be a combination of local tradition and external influence (for example, from Europe or Russia).

During the Soviet era, glassmaking workshops were established in Uzbekistan, but no specific information was found regarding Khiva.

هنر شیشه‌گری در آسیای میانه نیز وجود داشته است، مثلاً شیشه‌های رنگی، آینه‌کاری، شیشه‌های تزئینی، اما “کریستال شفاف بزرگ” مانند هدیهٔ شما ممکن است ترکیبی از سنت منطقه و تأثیر خارجی (مثلاً اروپا یا روسیه) باشد.

در دوره شوروی، کارگاه‌های شیشه‌سازی در ازبکستان تأسیس شدند، اما اطلاعات دقیق از خیوه یافت نشد.
